This past week I have made some pretty great trades to help me get a few inches closer to my ultimate goal – a complete Topps set run from 1952 to present. Before this week, I needed just 375 more cards to have 1955 to present complete. My complete want list can be found at www.mytoppscards.com

Now, once I receive the cards I traded for, I will just need 361 more as I picked up the following:

1955 Topps #200 Jackie Jensen $60
1955 Topps #206 Pete Daley $30
1960 Topps #28 Brooks Robinson $50
1960 Topps #73 Bob Gibson $50
1960 Topps #136 Jim Kaat $40
1960 Topps #160 Mantle/Boyer $120
1960 Topps #316 Willie McCovey $120
1960 Topps #554 Willie McCovey AS $40
1961 Topps #287 Carl Yastrzemski $50
1962 Topps #100 Warren Spahn $40
1963 Topps #380 Ernie Banks $100
1963 Topps #415 Bob Gibson $60
1966 Topps #320 Bob Gibson $25
1966 Topps #580 Billy Williams $60

As most people know, I have a lot of Heritage that I try to trade for as many of my vintage needs that I can. My Heritage inventory is up to date, and can be found at www.mytoppscards.com

If you have any cards off of my want list and they are in at least EX condition, I want to trade with you! If I do not have any Heritage from 2001 through 2012 that you need, please keep in mind that I will be opening up over three cases of 2013 Topps Heritage in three weeks. Everything I pull from the cases including the BIG hits is tradable towards Heritage. So if I pull a card that book at $500, I would gladly trade it towards a vintage card that books at $500 as long as it is on my want list.

My goal for the three cases is:

1) Have fun opening the cards!
2) Trade the Heritage cards towards my 1966 and 1967 Topps wantlists
3) Sell what I do not trade
4) Buy cards towards my 1966 and 1967 Topps wantlists
5) Complete my 1966 and 1967 Topps sets!!

Think I can do it? I currently need 52 cards from 1966 and only 9 cards from 1967 – however I need the Seaver rookie and Brooks Robinson high numbers.

One thing for sure, I will be blogging about my progress during this challenge I set for myself. Can three cases of Heritage be converted into the 61 cards I need to complete both 1966 and 1967 Topps sets? Only time will tell so stay tuned!
